Eh, is there a death condition other than running out of fuel? Because I can just land and keep going. I fairly easily maxed out the game. I'd have been peved if I bought this as a full game cart because it's too easy. This is like a Tiger Electronic handheld game level of difficulty. I'd have been happy with that purchase. Born in 81, so a little but of historical perspective from someone from that era.

edit: Yeah, there's a hard mode, which just increases the cost of enemies. If there was another end game condition it would make this more interesting. An endless game just seems boring with no real difficulty other than landing before your fuel runs out. I guess that's a by-product of being indestructible. Perhaps having fuel items that you have to grab and special areas to land to refuel and upgrade the enemies? Then you'd have to either avoid them to keep from going to the next level, which would allow speedrunners or other challenge players to fully upgrade with the lowest level possible. That would be worth a full cartridge for the added optional difficulty.

You don't even have to make it a "new" game or a sequel. Just add it as Game A and Game B and leave the hard mode.

The default game is defintely aimed at a 2020 audience and not an 1989 audience. But there is also a hard mode, if you feel inclined to try it.
