First, if you click the start credits screen repeatedly the INSERT COIN text will keep flashing over and over.

Next, if you are going to make this keyboard only controls then why even have mouse controls just for the menus? Clunky, and you can't make this work with controller. Get rid of the mouse and make it keyboard only (then you can add controller support).

Finally, the keyboard controls are too crowded because you made movement WASD then made actions JKL. Make the movement arrows and the actions ZXC, and change the selection button from Enter to Space.

Nice challenge, good enemy variety, endearing graphics, and level design that makes a player want to do time trials. This could be a full game.

That's what I get for making controls be to my preference and follow how buttons are on a NES or SNES controller (D-pad/joystick on left hand and action buttons on right hand). I've never liked using arrow keys for movement especially in 2D platformers.

Game does not save, and about 30 minutes after starting both times the audio went nuts at an insane volume and the entire game froze.

There is no permanent save in the demo unfortunately :/

I'm so sorry to hear the game froze on you. Does this happen often? I'm not sure if you want to, but you could try the demo on Steam; the desktop version is a bit more performant than the browser version.

If you don't mind telling me, do you remember where the game froze? How often does it happen? Does the game run smoothly otherwise? And if you don't mind giving me your computer's specs I'd appreciate that too. I've had a few reports of the game freezing, and it seems to be related to the browser version, but I'm not sure. It will also be useful to know if the Steam version freezes on you too. Any information could be helpful, thanks!

Not restoring specials after death on the boss battle is jerk but I learned how to cheese combos.

A little floaty and unresponsive with the controls.

Great visuals. Definitely make more. Could seeing more complex levels with hidden secrets.

Oh, a "Quit?"..."Are you sure?"..."OK?" at the pause screen would be nice.

You should have gotten 3 specials restored if you died on the boss unless you encountered some kind of bug that I've never seen. I just checked to confirm. Thanks for the play and feedback 👍

No reset button. CPU characters got stuck in a stalemate loop.

I am sorry that you had a bad experience. Unfortunately programming the CPU characters has been by far the biggest struggle with this project, and I know that even with the recent overhaul they are far from perfect, especially against each other.

In version 4 I've added a pause menu which allows you to exit a match at any time, so I hope that at least makes it a bit less painful when the enemies do get stuck.

This could be expanded, and it needs an ending. Make them levels, give the dogs different character abilities, put in some puzzle solving, fight the wolves and collect the sheep.;.;

Hey man, thanks for the feedback. There is an ending and if you press "Play Again" the game starts over but now with a timer for speed running :O

What was that second pickup? And it was too short. Great concept, needs expanded.
