Further, it looks like there is a bug on the "complete stages x y z" when the last stage is the final one in the group because I can't complete it even when I take no damage.

Dude, why did you make float W and Ness Ctrl? Do you know what Ctrl+W does? Basically get so far into the game and then it becomes unplayable.
Seriously, why doesn't Up work for glide? Why isn't it WADS/arrows? And it could have been Atl or Tab or even Space instead of Ctrl for Ness .
And the preloader hangs at 99% half the time.
And for the preloader add some large image at the very end of your package whatever framework you are using and only use the preloader up to 99% and it won't hang at the end.

I am sorry that you had a bad experience. Unfortunately programming the CPU characters has been by far the biggest struggle with this project, and I know that even with the recent overhaul they are far from perfect, especially against each other.

In version 4 I've added a pause menu which allows you to exit a match at any time, so I hope that at least makes it a bit less painful when the enemies do get stuck.

This could be expanded, and it needs an ending. Make them levels, give the dogs different character abilities, put in some puzzle solving, fight the wolves and collect the sheep.;.;

Hey man, thanks for the feedback. There is an ending and if you press "Play Again" the game starts over but now with a timer for speed running :O

Got the hand size up 1, fast mana 1, and tower shoots then went to Egypt and slogged it out and got enough to get all other upgrades right there, so not balanced. Good concept though. Just easy if you choose the right upgrades right away.
