A lottle slow, so a little boring

Thanks tom or whoever put it up? The users did! It's automated by the score this flash got based on user votes. Thank the users of NG!

So this was a little easy for my skill level. Maybe make a second version with a few added options. Something like keeping the gradual speed increase but in addition allow the player to speed up a few notches and be able to go back to the base speed. This will allow it to get faster a little quicker for the more advanced players. Also, you could then measure distance and time, and maybe have a scoring algorithm based on these criteria.

nah, I have to thank tom. The game went by unnoticed so I asked tom play it and see if he likes it or not. And its on the FP now. As for the other stuff, there are 3 levels, the desert is the hardest one so try that level if you want something harder. As for the other suggestions, they would be great if I made the second one, but after being on the front page this long and only 14k views....yea its not doing too good.

Too short

A 1 level demo that lasts as long as that won't last that long in the portal. More levels ore make them longer.

Tutorials like this have been done MUCH better

the interface was nice, but why not actually size the textboxes for the code so that they display all of the code on the screen? Also, there were no examples of working code in some sections, just the text for the code. People want to see how things work and then want to see them working. Also, all of these can be found using a search engine and looking for Flash tutorial sites. Finally, all of these examples have been shown in other tutorial flashes that were fully functional and had better designed interfaces.

Little tip

If you change the position of the custom cursor to reflect the mouse offset (your cursor clicks in the middle, not the top-left) then it has better control and is a better emulation. Then when mouse moves you move along with it. Otherwise quite a good tutorial for the beginner.

Ah! SHe's bald!

Does she have luekemia? Where's the button to get her nude?

Are you sure it isn't "tumor?"

Aside from spelling, it was drab and bland, and it sounded horrible.

It just wasn't that good

Sound quality was bad, and the clips weren't exactly all board-worthy. It wasn't pretty either. Bonus for content, though.

i gotta say im disapointed in the review but thanks anyway

I hate having to press "PLAY" after every level. Sure, I could press 'Enter' once I moved to it, but at least let me know I could do that. People need to know. Plus, it wasn't that fun. And what about the music?

Nothing too new or interesting

But I like it. This type of game has been around. In fact, there was an example .fla on flashkit or a similar site that people were submitting to the portal a few weeks after it appeared there. But the idea is even older than flash.

However, this added much o the idea. First, the avoid objects don't move in strictly lines so they can curve all around the stage. This adds to the unpredictablity and challenge. The power-ups are simple yet useful. And the colors and design are superb. Excellent job.

A review isn't useful unless you give the submission a 10.
